Perfect for teabags, eyeglasses - this, that and the other things.  My technique is to have the assembled pieces fit together seamlessly with no overlap much like a jigsaw puzzle.  No two boxes are the same.  The boxes are beautiful Acacia wood and my work is sealed with a dappled resin.

I deconstruct and reconstruct these patterns in my art.  Mixing metaphors and whimsy, pictures and designs, I combine images - to open doors to the viewers imagination and make a reflective statement.  I strive for intrigue and beauty,

order and peace.  Patterns are pieces of a quilt or a jigsaw puzzle with a great deal of attention paid

to making the pieces fit seamlessly in more of a mosaic that a classic overlay collage.

It's a little like quilting.  Using old-fashioned hole punches I make hexagons, circles, diamonds and squares out of scraps of paper or paint charts.  I then piece them together forming a quilt, a pattern, a piece of interest.  I also make a big mess.
